A Studio Makeover with Wit & Delight

01/29/2018

We were thrilled to partner with Wit & Delight–one of our favorite sources for design + lifestyle inspiration–to bring some of our best-selling pieces into their new studio space. The lofty, industrial space needed a bit of warmth, and the team chose the perfect palette and mix of textures to achieve the look.

The centerpiece of the project: our Irving Sofa in Caramel leather. After ordering fabric swatches, the team quickly fell in love with the texture and buttery soft feel of our leather, a top-grain leather with unique wax finish that gives it its softness and hint of sheen. We love how handsome it looks on our Irving sofa–the perfect complement to the sofa's tailored lines and nailhead detail.

The Irving sofa was a hit among the team, and helped make the new workspace feel more like home. In their words, "The sofa, which is covered in the most beautiful, buttery, caramel-colored leather is surprisingly comfortable yet supportive. This is our favorite piece in the collection!"

The Irving sofa was paired with two Leroy chairs in Parchment Performance Chevron. While the team desired a crisp and clean aesthetic, light-colored upholstery would typically be problematic for such a high-traffic space. Our Performance Chevron fabric was the perfect solution, as the Crypton Home technology woven in makes it both liquid repellent and stain resistant. The fabric's contrast with our Latte wood finish is brilliant.

Lastly, the team chose two Minetta chairs in Sapphire Velvet for a cozy corner of the studio space. We absolutely love the unexpected pairing with our Washed Oak finish, and the contrast this offers to the antique rug underneath. In the words of the team, "These chairs have such a cozy yet regal feel, they make you want to curl up with a hot coffee and a good book. They are full of vintage charm and evoke a feminine energy that we love."

We love seeing our pieces transformed in the hands of talented creatives like the team at Wit & Delight. This project helped bring to life how a industrial space can be made to feel cozy and warm with rich materials and textures.
