We’ve always believed that beauty and liveability go hand in hand. The quiet integrity of American craftsmanship forms the foundation of our most gorgeous styles and the ultra-soft texture of our premium fabrics belie their incredible durability. In other words, we’ve never believed that you should have to choose between what looks and feels great and what will actually perform in your home for years to come.
So when we talk to the parents of children of all ages, and hear their concerns about durability and performance, we’re always excited to tell them exactly why Maiden Home is the best choice for even the most high-traffic rooms in your home.
In this post, we’re taking you behind the scenes from our construction and design to your experience as a customer, showing you how we balance the beautiful with the practical for better furniture every day.
Each piece of Maiden Home furniture is hand-made to order by one of our craftsman partners in North Carolina. Many of the artisans working in our workrooms have not only been building furniture for decades, but also come from long lines of furniture-makers, who have populated the Piedmont region of North Carolina for more than a century.
Their generational skill allows us to build durability into the very bones of our product. Techniques like mortise and tenon joinery and eight-way hand-tied springs give our products unique durability unrivaled among other options at a similar price. We’re so confident that the fundamental elements of your furniture will stand the test of time that we have a lifetime warranty on the frames of all our furniture and the springs in our sofas. With this peace of mind, you can relax knowing that no number of forts built or sleepovers will degrade the comfort or appearance of your furniture.
We’ve set an incredibly high bar for the quality of materials that make up the heart of our furniture. From the 1” thick kiln-dried hardwood from which our frames are crafted to the proprietary high-resiliency Ultracel foam that makes up the core of each of our sofa and chair cushions, we’re committed to using only the very best components - because we understand how these essential building blocks contribute to the lifetime of your piece. Where you may have expected a sofa to look and feel great for a couple years from our big box competitors, Maiden Home furniture is designed from the start to be an integral part of your home for many years to come.
This commitment to quality doesn’t stop at the foundation of your piece. Each material in our curated assortment of fabric and leather was hand-selected for its timeless style, unique versatility, and of course, its performance against everyday spills and messes. By working directly with the finest mills in America, we are able to offer our premium materials at previously unheard of prices, and when we aren’t able to find the perfect material, we’ve partnered with the mills directly to custom develop exclusive fabrics that exceed even our expectations.
One thing our founder, a wife and mother herself, knows very well is that every minute you spend on the phone with a customer service team is one less minute helping with homework, slaying dragons before bedtime, or just curling up for a family movie night. Because we understand that the process of ordering can seem daunting, our Design Advisors are on call to answer your questions via phone, chat, text, or email - whichever is most convenient for you. They can guide you through decisions surrounding the layout for your space, to which comfort profile fits your lifestyle, to which materials will match your rug. Efficient, personalized advice that will never give you the hard sell.
But our service doesn’t end when you make your purchase with us. We’ll keep you updated on the status of your furniture, offering proactive updates as it moves through its production all the way through your free white glove delivery. While it’s rare, should anything happen along the way, we’ll take care of you, offering quick, responsive service to take care of any issues that might arise with your furniture. In other words, we’ve got your back.
We understand that the magic of life happens in the everyday, and we consider ourselves lucky to be a part of the everyday of so many families across America.
