You may have noticed that we at Maiden Home love a white sofa. Nothing says striking, confident style quite like it, so when interior designer Anissa Zajac of House Seven Design wanted to re-envision her home's living room in all crisp white furniture, we jumped at the challenge. Armed with some of the finest performance materials on the market, we helped her create the perfect refuge for her family of five that would be durable as it is stunning.
Anissa's living room is the center of a very busy life, from spending time with her husband and their three daughters to welcoming guests and clients. While many would shy away from white for this type of space, Anissa was excited about the opportunity to create a crisp, seasonless backdrop for her rustic-modern aesthetic.
"This space is used on a daily basis by our family." Said Anissa, "We watch TV, play games or sit by the fire and have a glass of wine at the end of a work day. I needed pieces that would hold up to the wear and tear that comes with a home filled with little kids and dogs. I didn’t want to give up my love for neutrals and light and bright fabrics. Thankfully, I didn’t have to with Maiden Home because their fabrics are made for just for our kind of high traffic home."
To create the perfect space, Anissa chose to pair two Maiden Home styles, unifying the design through a consistent fabric choice. "When I saw The Dune sofa, I fell in love with its clean lines and comfortable simplicity,” Said Anissa, “I knew it was the perfect piece for our living room."
To balance The Dune’s ultra-soft, casual appeal, she incorporated the graphic, contemporary design of a set of The Mercer chairs. “They are modern and clean with their straight lines and nod to mid-century design but you won't have to sacrifice comfort with their plush cushions and supportive seat. It’s so nice to finally find chairs with a minimal design and comfort all in one.”
