Frame
Kiln-dried hardwood is precision-cut for a frame that'll never twist, warp or crack. Joints are glued, double-doweled and corner-blocked for extra stability.
Springs
Eight-way hand-tied springs provide the gold standard for longevity and comfort. Each spring is secured in place by a craftsman specialized in the process.
Cushion
A high-resiliency core is wrapped in a jacket of down, feathers, and fiber for a luxurious, yet supportive feel.
Upholstery
Fabric seat and back cushions are fully upholstered and reversible. Leather cushion backs are semi-upholstered to provide a sink-in comfortable seat.

Shipping
Once production of your piece is complete, it will be picked up from our partner’s workroom and transported to a facility in your local area. This varies by location and typically takes 2-4 weeks. At this point, your piece is ready for delivery and you will be contacted by our white glove partners to schedule a date for your delivery. After you place your order, we will provide you with an estimate of when you will receiving your scheduling call based on your zip code. Feel free to reach out to our team prior to placing your order for an estimate of your shipping timeline.
White Glove Delivery
This piece is delivered via white glove service. A two-person delivery team will arrive during your scheduled time, bring your furniture into your room of choice, unpack it, and take all packaging with them.
Easy Returns
We are happy to accept returns on your piece within 30 days of delivery. If you aren't in love, we will arrange for our delivery partners to pick it up from your home. You will be refunded your entire purchase price minus 10%.
Note cancellations after 24 hours will also be charged a 10% fee.
What are The Sullivan Chair and a Half’s cushions composed of?
The Sullivan Chair and a Half's seat cushions feature a high-resiliency Ultracel core with a down, feather, and fiber wrap; this construction offers a sink-in feel with excellent underlying support. Back cushions are filled with a blend of down, feather, and fiber; they are sewn with three inner channels to prevent settling of fill or crushing of the cushion over time.
Cushions that contain feathers and down require some routine maintenance. While the cotton ticking is designed for airflow, comfort, and minimizing feather migration, the fine feather fill can still escape through this material. Any loose feathers can be removed by hand, or with a vacuum cleaner. This natural process will not impact your cushions’ performance or construction.
Is The Sullivan Chair and a Half available with down alternative?
The Sullivan Chair and a Half is available with a down alternative cushion. Down alternative cushions are filled with microdenier fiber, an ultra fine synthetic fiber that mimics the sink-in feel of down and feather. Down alternative cushioning will offer the same relaxed look and feel of standard down, and will carry a similar maintenance profile. The Sullivan Chair and a Half with down alternative will feature our standard high-resiliency Ultracel core, and channeling in both seat and back cushions. What are the legs made out of and what finish options are available?
Our artisan partners hand select each material for its beauty and unique character. The Sullivan’s legs are expertly handcrafted using solid maple, a robust Appalachian hardwood. Our maple wood is domestically sourced from forests in the eastern United States and has been certified and verified sustainable by the US Forest Association.
The Sullivan’s legs are completed with your choice of four lacquered hues specially finished to highlight the natural grain and character of the wood. Due to the natural materials used, each piece will possess a unique, one-of-a-kind character and may slightly vary.
Can I order wood finish samples?
Wood finish samples for The Sullivan are available for order here. Please note, variation in grain and texture is to be expected between your wood sample and final piece, given the natural materials used. We’ll be happy to refund your swatch purchase less 10% for handling if returned within 30 days of the original ship date.
Are The Sullivan’s legs removable for delivery?
The Sullivan’s legs are removable for delivery. With the back cushions and legs removed, the frame measures 29.5” tall.
