Frame
Artisanal woodworking is on display with a hand-shaped solid oak frame.
Cushion
The Thayer's seat cushion features a core of high-resiliency foam wrapped with a layer of microfiber for a structured, supportive sit. Finished with blind seams and a bolster back, providing comfort within its contoured frame.
Upholstery
The Thayer's seat and back are seamlessly upholstered to its distinct curvature in the fabric or leather combination of your choice.
Finish
Master artisans meticulously sand, stain, and seal solid ash by hand using a seven-layer process, completed in your choice of hue.
Shipping & Returns

Shipping
Once production of your piece is complete, it will be picked up from our partner’s workroom and transported to a facility in your local area. This varies by location and typically takes 2-4 weeks. At this point, your piece is ready for delivery and you will be contacted by our white glove partners to schedule a date for your delivery. After you place your order, we will provide you with an estimate of when you will receiving your scheduling call based on your zip code. Feel free to reach out to our team prior to placing your order for an estimate of your shipping timeline.
White Glove Delivery
This piece is delivered via white glove service. A two-person delivery team will arrive during your scheduled time, bring your furniture into your room of choice, unpack it, and take all packaging with them.
Easy Returns
We are happy to accept returns on your piece within 30 days of delivery. If you aren't in love, we will arrange for our delivery partners to pick it up from your home. You will be refunded your entire purchase price minus 10%.
Note cancellations after 24 hours will also be charged a 10% fee.

Does The Thayer come with adjustable glides?
Any style in our dining seating collection is installed with adjustable glides to assist with leveling within your space.
How do I care for The Thayer Stool upholstered in shearling?
Our pure New Zealand shearling is sourced from Moore & Giles, one of America's oldest and most revered leather companies. In order to keep the luxe, touchable textural and natural dimension of shearling, we recommend the following special care and maintenance:
• Using an upholstery attachment with the rotary setting turned off, vacuum your shearling on the highest setting to remove any dust and debris.
• For spot cleaning, gently pat the stain using a mild liquid detergent and a damp sponge as quickly as possible.
• Use a soft towel to absorb any leftover moisture, avoiding rubbing the natural fibers. Never use bleach or cleaners containing enzymes.
• To remove knots and tangles, use a wooden bristle brush to revive natural texture.
• To avoid sun spots and fading, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and high heat.
• If deep cleaning is necessary, use a professional service specializing in leather or sheepskin.

The Thayer is completed with a curated selection of upholstery and wood finish combinations.
Can I order wood finish samples?
Wood finish samples for The Thayer are available for order here. Please note, variation in grain and texture is to be expected between your wood sample and final piece, given the natural materials used. We’ll be happy to refund your swatch purchase if returned within 30 days of the original ship date.
What is the difference between a bar and a counter stool?
Bar stools are constructed with a 30" seat height and are designed to pair with a traditional bar counter, typically ranging from 40 to 42 inches in height. Counter stools are designed with a 26” seat height, an ideal pairing for a kitchen counter or island which range from about 34 to 36 inches tall.
