Crafted From White Onyx
White onyx is coveted for its rarity and beauty—its ethereal ivory hue and tonal veining is unlike that of any other stone.
Hand-Selected Slabs
Our partners source their white onyx from a quarry in Turkey known for its otherworldly stones. Our founder then hand-selects the slabs we use for the Basel plinths, always seeking out those with the most stunning color.
Made in New York
Each plinth is brought to life by master stonecutters in New York who have spent more than 15 years refining their craft, so every corner is flawlessly mitered and every surface is honed to radiate a luminous glow.

Shipping & Returns
Production
Your piece will be made-to-order by our artisan partners. You will receive an email when it enters production.
Shipping
After placing your order, you will receive an estimate for when you'll be able to schedule the delivery of your piece. We’re happy to provide estimated shipping timelines and expedited shipping availability before you purchase, too—simply reach out to hello@maidenhome.com.
Once production is complete, your piece will be transported to a distribution facility in your area—a process that typically takes two to four weeks depending on your location. After that, our white glove delivery partners will contact you to schedule a delivery date.
White Glove Delivery
We offer white glove delivery for this piece. A two-person delivery team will arrive during your scheduled delivery window, bring your piece into the room of your choice, unpack it, and remove the packaging from your space.
Returns & Exchanges
We accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery. If you decide to return or exchange your piece, we will arrange for our delivery partners to pick up your piece. You will be refunded your entire purchase price minus 10% and shipping if you return your order.
Cancellations made after one business day of purchase will also be charged a 10% fee to offset the material costs that our partners incur.
How do I care for honed white onyx?
To maintain the natural beauty of honed white onyx, regularly dust it using a soft, dry cloth. Please refrain from using liquid cleaners on this material, and do not place beverages, vases, or other wet objects upon it without a sufficient coaster to prevent contact with water.
Can I order white onyx swatches?
We do not offer white onyx swatches at this time, but we invite you to contact design@maidenhome.com for photos and further information on the natural nuances you can expect within this natural material.
Can I place the Basel plinth on a rug?
The Basel plinth should only be placed on hard floors or flatweave rugs. Please do not place this piece on a high-pile rug as it may damage the pile and pose a stability hazard.
