Available with a built-in, detachable cushion in your choice of soft, suede-like Italian nubuck leathers and finished with an artful seam. The cushion adds an extra layer of comfort in a minimal shape with a high-resiliency foam core wrapped in layers of fiber.

Shipping
Once production of your piece is complete, it will be picked up from our partner’s workroom and transported to a facility in your local area. This varies by location and typically takes 2-4 weeks. At this point, your piece is ready for delivery and you will be contacted by our white glove partners to schedule a date for your delivery. After you place your order, we will provide you with an estimate of when you will receiving your scheduling call based on your zip code. Feel free to reach out to our team prior to placing your order for an estimate of your shipping timeline.
White Glove Delivery
This piece is delivered via white glove service. A two-person delivery team will arrive during your scheduled time, bring your furniture into your room of choice, unpack it, and take all packaging with them. If you ordered this product with other upholstered goods, your order will be scheduled for a single delivery with our white glove partners.
Easy Returns
We are happy to accept returns on your piece within 30 days of delivery. If you aren't in love, we will arrange for our delivery partners to pick it up from your home. You will be refunded your entire purchase price minus 10%.
Note cancellations after 24 hours will also be charged a 10% fee.
What is the durability of ash wood and how is it sourced?
Each Reyes bench is expertly handcrafted using solid ash, a robust hardwood with a beautiful depth and texture in its grain. Our artisan partners hand select each material for its beauty and unique character, giving your piece a natural, one-of-a-kind variation.
Our ash wood is domestically sourced from sustainable forests in the eastern United States. We are proud to build our pieces from ash that is harvested in accordance with traditional and civil rights. We do not source from forests that are being converted to non-forest use or where genetically modified trees are planted.
Natural wood will age over time, with evidence of life and wear contributing to its patina. Preserve your piece by using a coaster or protective layer against any heat or moisture. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and never use harsh solvents.
Can I order wood finish samples?
Wood finish samples for The Reyes are available for order here. Please note, variation in grain and texture is to be expected between your wood sample and final piece, given the natural materials used. We’ll be happy to refund your swatch purchase less 10% for handling if returned within 30 days of the original ship date.
What is nubuck leather, and how is it cared for in the home?
Our nubuck leather is a top-grain Italian leather from Moore & Giles, one of America’s oldest and most revered leather companies. Each hide is lightly buffed for a soft, suede-like texture and velvety hand, adding sophisticated texture and variation to each piece. Its luxury is felt in the refined texture and soft glow created by the way light is subtly reflected off of its surface. Natural variation and pebbling will be present when this leather is pulled for upholstery, highlighting the unique character and beauty of each hide. You can mimic the range of tones by pulling your finger along the back of the swatch.
As nubuck is made from top-grain leather, it is more durable and long-lasting compared to suede. Though it is treated during tanning, spills should immediately be wiped away to avoid staining. Never use harsh solvents or cleaners that are not specifically recommended for nubuck leather. To maintain the look of your nubuck leather, dust periodically with a dry cloth, otherwise enjoy the natural aging process.
How is the optional seat cushion on The Reyes attached to the wood frame?
The Reyes’ nubuck leather seat cushion is sewn with straps that thread through the surface of the wood frame and connect securely underneath. This allows the seat cushion to remain positioned in place with use.
If you are ordering a Reyes Bench with added seat cushion, the surface of your bench will have 4 rounded openings that allow the straps of the seat cushion to thread through. You may find images of this construction here on this product’s tearsheet.
Can I order the optional seat cushion separately?
If initially ordered without the added seat cushion, the Reyes Bench will not be made with the openings that allow the seat cushion to be attached, and will instead feature a solid wood surface.
Can The Reyes’ cushion be flipped or its cushion cover removed?
The optional, built-in Reyes cushion cannot be flipped, as it is sewn with straps that thread through the wood surface and connect underneath. The cushion cover is sewn with an envelope seam on its underside and can be removed, if necessary.
