The Muir Sofa has definitely exceeded my expectations. I bought it based solely on the look. Not only is it beautiful but also extremely comfortable. I bought the natural ash + performance boucle’ in polar. I have it in my office and enjoy taking zoom calls from it or taking a mid day reading/tea break. Thank you Maiden Home :)

My wife and I were disappointed with The Sullivan. Although sold as though it is handmade, the fabric was so taught and the stitching so stretched that clearly the fabric had been mass produced and then stretched to its limits to fit around the frame. It was also quite uncomfortable due to their being no padding whatsoever between the wooden frame and the upholstery. Unless one was to sit down ever-so-delicately, he or she ran the risk of catching a very hard wooden frame to the back of his or her neck or elbow if sitting on the end of the sofa. Also the cushions looked wrinkled and sagging after one week of very light use. The sofa would certainly not hold up to family use. All of this being noted, we asked for a refund as we were within the 30 day window advertised by Maiden Home. At that point we were informed that there would be a 10% penalty for the refund. Now, as is with most retailers who offer any sort of warranty, the devil is in the fine print details, and if you click through the website you can find the 10% penalty mentioned, but it requires just that, clicking through the fine print. It's misleading at best. The sofa has now been picked up and returned, and we are out our 10%, but better to have the 90% back to find a nice sofa than live with this one.

We have had our Ludlow sofa in gray for several months now. It has been very accommodating to our family in our TV room as it is long enough to easily seat four. The Ludlow is quite firm, which we like, and deep. It is deeper than our other sofa. It is a very comfortable sofa to sleep on for these two reasons. I love the design of the sofa, too. Overall, it is a hit!

I came here to read my previous review that I left on February 10, 2021 because I am currently washing my couches and am reminded of how much I don't like them. I looked through every review on here more than once and it appears it was removed which is a little frustrating to me, so I am trying to post using my work email because it doesn’t seem to want to post a new one from my personal email I had originally used. I had given a previous 3 star review and addressed the pilling, comfort level and cushions and my disappointment with all 3 on my dune sofa and dune chair and a halfs. I am giving 3 stars again because I should have given 2 previously and would have updated to 3 because of company's prompt communication and attempt to help with my dissatisfaction. I read through the most recent reviews and saw one of the top ones complaint of the pilling still, even with a different material, which is partly why I decided to leave another review now and because it bothers me that mine was removed and the problems I had still seem to be an issue.
After my last review, Maiden Home reached out to me and asked for photos and more details of the issues I was describing (the insane amount of pilling and the uncomfortable back cushions that did not hold their shape). I sent photos and they offered me two options, a partial refund or a new set of covers in one of their new materials (they no longer have type of material I originally ordered). They also offered to send new back cushions with both choices in hopes it would resolve the issues I was experiencing with those. I opted for a partial refund and the new back cushions because I didn't want to risk the new material still having the same issues and because overall, I think the couch is shockingly uncomfortable (the chairs are better, but still not great or what I expected comfort wise) for the price point. I am almost a year from my previous review and into almost 3 years of ownership of this furniture and I have major regrets over purchasing these pieces. I talked my husband into letting me invest in these pieces thinking I'd be able to happily own them for a great length of time and I was so wrong. Even with the new back cushions for the couch (that also don't hold their shape), they still are so uncomfortable and not something I look forward to lounging on and apologize to guests constantly for. My husband hates them because they are so uncomfortable. I think they could be good pieces for a formal living room that isn't used often because they are aesthetically pleasing for the most part - but only if you don't look up close and see the horrible pilling that makes them look so dingy. It irritates me every time I see it and it was an issue right from the start, it wasn't something that developed after having them for years, it was within a month or two and after the first wash which was past the point of returning. After seeing someone else mention it with one of the newer cover materials, it makes me feel like it's a continuous issue that they've tried to remedy by discontinuing the type of linen mine have (it was the only option when I purchased) but haven't been successful at fixing. The amount of feathers that end up ALL OVER my house every time I wash them is insane, I honestly don't know how so many feathers escape, but it is so messy and so irritating cleaning them from everywhere they fly and out of my washer/dryer because they cling to the covers, I try my hardest to wash them as infrequently as possible because it make such a huge mess. I don't doubt Maiden Home has some good furniture, but these Dune pieces are absolutely not worth the expense. The issues they have are issues you can expect from a big box store where you are spending a quarter of the price, not a company with custom made to order furniture at a high price point. Knowing my review was removed makes me wonder how many other people have dealt with these problems but also have their feedback deleted. I don't want to slam this company, but that really rubbed me the wrong way and it is disappointing to see

As a designer I can say my clients are a tough crowd - for years clients have always asked for a high quality sofa, that’s very practical but also stylish. Very comfortable but not sloppy.
The dune really hits the mark / there are very few places you can buy a U.S. made slipcover nowadays. The dune really cracks the code of having truly high end construction and fabrics while also being very practical for our clients in that the slip cover is easily washable. Our business is focused on the eastern end of Long Island and we have spec’d the dune in homes that are rented on occasion as well as those that are exclusively personal use. Sincerely can highly recommend the sofa.

We purchased the Warren sectional sofa and it is exactly what we were looking for- well made, comfortable, easy to clean and gorgeous! We have a cat and 2 young sons so clean ability was very important to us and the performance tweed in salt is super easy to clean. Also the customer service is excellent and very helpful

Purchased Varick sofa and chair & half both in taupe performance velvet with a Mercer side chair in cider. The Mercer keeps it all tidy while the Varick is casual elegance. I robustly tested the swatches (chocolate, wine, hot sauce) and all came out clean with just soap and water. I also tested most west coast designers for comfort but ended up buying Maiden Home sight unseen. So glad I did as I found them to be the most comfortable by far. It's been nearly a year and the pieces look as good as new although I fluff and rotate the cushions and keep a throw for the 3 dogs. Highly recommend the bench seat and longer length for comfort. Not for slouchers, more for loungers.

I'm an interior designer in San Diego and recently purchased the Sullivan sectional in cream linen and the Carmine in the lagoon velvet for a client. The client was over the top pleased with every detail of the sofas, the price, delivery and the emails updating the progress on the construction. Everything about ordering with Maiden Home is seamless, easy and no surprises. I ordered a sofa for myself as well and
couldn't be happier with it. I will be using Maiden Home again and again.

The Wythe is a bed I’ve dreamed about someone making for years and serendipitously Maiden Home made it before I had to spend a fortune making it myself. It’s streamlined, modern and sleek in its design. It’s has strong craftsmanship, from the platform that floats off the floor and eliminates the need for a box-spring, to the headboard and it’s sturdy connection providing luxury support.
The upholstery and tailoring is designer quality. Don’t be afraid to go light on upholstery, you won’t regret getting the oyster linen fabric. Its a strong, tightly woven linen with a soft natural and elegant texture, that’s also cleanable.
I went with the lowest headboard height of 38 inches, which looks absolutely chic. My euro shams rest perfectly against it at almost the same height.
The white glove service was also exceptional. They delivered up two flights of stairs and assembled quickly and efficiently. Giving MH five stars for my first order with them!

I wanted a high quality, beautiful couch and this piece fit the bill. I am so happy that I chose to go with the Warren. Not only is my couch super handsome, it is so comfy. I wanted something large that wouldn’t feel like it was swallowing up my living room. It’s also worth mentioning that the folks who work at Maiden Home are just the sweetest— I really felt supported when customizing my furniture. I would definitely recommend

3/5 | Nice quality but high maintenance, low couch
I want to love the Warren but with an active family there are a few things that make it too much to deal with. The pros - the fabric and construction are top notch. I can tell a lot of care is put into the construction. However, the cushions compress quickly, mainly in the front. Customer service's response is to regulate the cushions like you would a duvet cover. That works somewhat but they still get compressed and I'm having to try to "regulate" them weekly. There is a front ledge to the couch that sticks up quite high so if you don't try to get the cushions to fluff back up, you can feel it give significant pressure to the underside of your legs. We're now at the point where all the regulating doesn't prevent compression and who has time for this level of fussiness? I'm 5'10 and my husband is 6'2 so beware that this is a very low couch. If you have any mobility issues, it will be hard to get up from - my mother in law and sister both struggled with it. We added 5" legs to make it more functional but if you do that, just know your warranty is voided.

5/5 | Love, love, love my new Warren! Beautiful and cozy
Ordering a Maiden Home couch felt like one of the riskiest purchases ever since we couldn't sit in it in advance (I always said I'd NEVER order a couch online), but it was SO worth it. We ordered a Warren sectional/chaise in Indigo performance chevron. We really really love it and have received SO many compliments. It looks exactly like the pictures and is so incredibly comfy. It's deep enough to lay back and lounge in front of the TV, but also a great size and sit for guests. I really love everything about the couch! Definitely feels and looks like a good investment. Love, love, love!

3/5 | Very pretty but stiff
I thought this was going to be a very comfortable reading chair but unless you put a pillow behind your back it’s actually a bit stiff. Also a bit shiort in the leg area. Needs an ottoman badly.

It took me such a long time to finally make a decision on a sofa. I had looked for months and kept coming back to Maiden Home. I had a hard time deciding because I loved the Ludlow and the Carmine as well as the Crosby. I chose the Crosby and I absolutely love it. It is so beautiful and comfortable! I love the fabric! I chose the Oatmeal and couldn't be happier.
We ordered a large Jones modular sectional. I was impressed by the customer service, communication, lead times, and delivery. The couch appears to be very well made. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The sectional is extremely uncomfortable and awkward. We’ve had it for two weeks and have tried to love it, but we can’t get comfortable. The cushions are too firm, the performance linen fabric is scratchy, and it feels like we’re slipping off when we sit upright with our feet on the floor. We’ve polled multiple visitors and they’ve all disliked it as well. Everyone keeps shifting and moving to try to find a decent position, but ends up looking stiff and uncomfortable. Sadly, it’s not as visually exciting as I thought it would be either. It is very low to the ground and looks rather small despite the large measurements and price tag. I hate to write a negative review, because I love the company’s backstory and am very pleased with our other Maiden Home purchase, but this is a huge miss. I purchased the couch sight unseen based on the positive reviews posted on this website, which raved about its comfort and good looks, and I wish I had seen more honest feedback. We have made the difficult decision to pay a hefty 10% return fee and buy something else.

The couch is too low to the ground, the seat is too deep, the back cushions lost their shape within a few months and I’m constantly getting poked by the feathers that make their way out of the fabric. We bought the couch because of the durability rating on fabric with a dog that likes to join us on the couch. The fabric has not held up as expected.

My new Sullivan sectional in Merino Heather Grey is lovely. The fabric is soft and the couch itself is comfortable yet the cushions are structured enough that it doesn't need to be fussed with all the time to look tidy. Excellent customer service too, with timely and helpful responses to all my questions. I liked getting the updates about production and was impressed with the delivery time. I would definitely buy from Maiden Home again.

1/5 | 5-6 weeks delivery is a LIE! Over 3 months - STILL WAITING!
www.maidenhome.com website is inaccurate and misleading!
5-6 weeks delivery for Hyde Chair is a fantasy! Hyde Chair ordered September 2nd, 2023. Still waiting; today is 12-18-23 for delivery. And customer service rep just told me now it will be delivered in January. 4 months big difference vs 5-6 weeks. Very disappointed. Zero communication. If I did not call I wouldn't know status.

We have had our new sofa for about 3 weeks. We are in love with it, the color, the construction, super comfortable.
My kids spilled something on it the first day and it just wiped right off. AMAZING
I was hesitant ordering but the entire process was very easy, and perfect. I wouldn't hesitate recommending them to anyone.

We are absolutely in love with our custom sofa set! We purchased an L sectional and additional sofa and we are more than thrilled with the outcome. The oatmeal in performance tweed is nicer than what I was expecting and the pieces really elevated the look of our living room. We've received nothing but compliments and the beautifully crafted sofas. Thanks, Maiden Home!
