The Breuer Modular Component

I recently purchased the Breuer modular and it is both roomy and firm, yet very comfy. I also received the matching ottoman which makes it great to lounge on! Perfect blend of style and comfort.

This 10 piece modular in linen is absolutely stunning and the center piece of the main living area in our home. The option for raised arms in the middle is what sold us on this piece after traveling from Miami to New York to see it in the showroom. Delivery and install were all very easy. Thank you

No back support and constant neck strain. We tried adding arms to this so we could get some support on the sides but it didn’t help. Our designers picked this out and were so disappointed. The short back is compounded by the fact that the seat cushions slightly slope down from the back to front so it constantly pulls you forward like you’re going to slide off the couch. I’ve never used my neck and abdominal muscles so much when sitting on a couch before. We can only use this couch to lay down on.

We ordered in pebbled leather and it came with vertical seams on all pieces. While the color was beautiful, the quality did not meet our standards and we inevitably returned the sofa. It was super disappointing to wait three months for the piece to have it not to come as it was pictured online (or in store! we went to the flagship and they had a seamless fabric sectional on display). I do have to say that Maiden Home’s support team was very kind and responsive throughout the return process (hence the two stars). They did tell me that they would update the renderings online so others wouldn’t face the same issue - they haven’t which is why i’m leaving the review.

That said if you get a fabric sofa it’s likely great but beware if you are concerned about seams on the leather version. I’d attach a photo if I could but there’s no option on this review form.
