The Wythe Bed
5/5  |  Dreamy...
This bed makes me swoon. I absolutely love it. I searched for a fabric low profile bed for months. The swatches were so helpful and it’s even better in person. The details make this bed. It’s so perfect and makes such a statement. Worth the cost!

The Sullivan Sofa
3/5
I shopped over a year for the perfect sofa for our renovation. I love the design and clean lines - it’s beautiful yet very comfortable which works great in an open concept living space. My gripe is that the feathers poke through. I get “stuck” and have to pull out at least 3 feathers per day from both the back and seat cushions, which is obnoxious. I sent photos of the interior of the cushion and the feedback was that everything was as expected. I’ve considered having another layer added around the cushion under the exterior fabric with the goal of preventing feathers from coming through. Not sure about my willingness to take on that project.

The Warren Sofa
5/5  |  Worth every penny!
After searching high and low (west elm, arhaus, crate and barrel etc...) I finally found maiden home and pulled the trigger. I wanted a piece that would last. What impressed me was the time, effort, and care they put into crafting their pieces - unlike the big name stores. I ordered the Warren left hand chaise sectional (119”) in Merino Granite, and it took about 8 weeks to arrive. The material is sooooo soft, the cushions are supportive yet have a sink in feel, and the piece is just beautiful. 10/10 would order from Maiden home again.

2/5  |  Warren couches at 90 days: regret not returning
We took delivery of a pair of Warren couches in April 2022, and this review is written at not quite 90 days of ownership. And to be honest, I’m not very happy with them. I don’t think they are going to last long enough to justify their cost, and think that in order to make them last, they’ll require us to spend on new padding, and to redesign or revise the back cushions by some kind of professional. First, the good. The products were pretty well described on the company website. We ordered a billion swatches before deciding, and they were always sent quickly, and in a nice package. We appreciate domestic manufacturing because we feel that shipping couches from overseas is very wasteful, and we like to support domestic workers and jobs when the unit economics work. We appreciated the many size and shape options available to suit our space. To be honest, we felt a degree of Tyranny of Choice with some options being quite similar, and that led to difficulty evaluating the tradeoff between an or two here and there vs. their marginal price differences. We wished many times over the decision-making period that there was a “drop this couch into a picture of my room” feature, as well as a product comparison chart. We did appreciate the Sofa Comfort Guide, but wish it were more quantitative (give me the measurements), detailed, and designed to enable comparison of different models in a single view. Good luck trying to figure out which model has the shortest seat depth, or which has the most vertical back angle from reading the guide. What we missed in not having a showroom to visit was the ability to tangibly experience the products. We had a hard time imagining what these couches might feel like as compared with some of the couches we sat on in person from other companies. The ordering process was smooth, and this is table stakes for any Direct-to-Consumer brand. Post-order communication was adequate, but for a “luxury” brand, we really felt in the dark on order status. We would’ve loved to be able to get more info on the status of our couches. Nothing complicated, just notes like, “finished frame,” “awaiting fabric,” or “packaging to ship” would’ve been appreciated. Given that we ordered our couches in the thick of a pandemic and global supply-chain disruption, we felt the wait time and accuracy of the quoted lead time were fine. We would’ve liked more-frequent check-ins during the manufacturing and transit period. Delivery was good, and other than a few minor delays, no issues. Upon arrival, my instincts were that the seating cushions felt too soft and that the back cushions were unlikely to retain their shape. Fast forward to the near-three-month mark, and here’s what we’ve found: 1. The seating cushions are too soft. You sink in too far, and they’re already forming large craters, divots, and creases. They look like they’re years old, in months. We regret not opting for a firmer seating model. Because the seating height is very low and the seating is so soft, it is fairly difficult to sit upright, since you sink so low. 2. The seating depth is also too deep, but admittedly, that’s personal preference. This seems to be a big trend across all brands of couches, but I really prefer the ability to, if wanted, sit upright without hunching and slouching, put my feet on the ground and my back against the back cushions without needing to stuff pillows behind myself. I regret not holding the line on wanting a shallower depth. Since these couches are offered in so many sizes, I would’ve loved the ability to specify a shallower seating depth. 3. The back cushions don’t stay in place. They began to severely warp and twist immediately upon receipt. They probably should be attached to the frame with velcro or ties, or be broken up into three segments instead of two, or otherwise redesigned. They look bad and I’m really upset with how they are wearing, at the 90-day mark. 4. The Warren couch is designed with very low floor clearance, on very short legs. There’s maybe a one-inch gap between the bottom of the couch and the floor, meaning things get stuck underneath (especially with a toddler), and that you can’t vacuum underneath without lifting up the whole couch. Wrapping up, I think Maiden Home is actually on a good path, but there are lots of little product, marketing, and experience details that could be improved to deliver a customer experience that meets the price and positioning. There’s dissonance today. Positioning a brand as luxury means not only making expensive products, but also providing an above-average experience of ownership. Today, the experience of being a Maiden Home customer is not a luxury experience; it’s a standard e-commerce experience in every way — with a high-end, high-priced product. You take a risk with a startup, especially with a large purchase, sight unseen. I’m not happy with these couches and regret not returning them during the 30-day return period.

The Sullivan Sofa
5/5  |  Beyond thrilled!!!
We recently received our Sullivan sectional in Ecru Performance Weave, and 2 Downing chairs one with ottoman, in Midnight Velvet and we could not be more thrilled!!! The furniture is so beautiful, and perfect for our family room. It definitely gets daily use but always looks great! The sectional and chairs are super comfortable. There is good support but not “hard”. There’s enough give to make it super comfy and cozy. The dogs are loving it and even dirty paw prints clean right up. The quality of this furniture for the price is amazing! We have spent way more money in the past and haven’t gotten furniture this well made and stylish. I will be buying from Maiden Home again and I can’t say enough about how great the entire buying process, from swatches through delivery, has been. Excellent excellent service and product. Well done Maiden Home.👍🏻

The Warren Sofa
3/5  |  Beautiful Couch -- Some fabric flaws
My new warren couch is very nice looking and I do find it comfortable. It arrived with a few notable frays in the fabric and lots of loose strings, which I had to either pull out or cut. I would have expected those things to have been caught by quality control on such an expensive item.

The Warren Sofa
1/5  |  Dissatisfied Customer
I never had a buyer’s remorse until I purchased the Warren sofa from Maiden Home! The look of the performance linen fabric over time is so unacceptable and unattractive at the price I paid. Although it has been 4 years since I’ve had this sofa, it is such an eye sore every time I walk in my great room. Just to be clear, I started seeing a change in the fabric a few months after I received my purchase. The material became dingy and started to roll up in lint balls. I tried to spot clean it and vacuum it, but it just remained more dingy. Turning over the pillows didn’t make it any better because they eventually looked worn. It just got to a point where I didn’t want my family to sit on it anymore because I tried to preserve it from looking so ugly. If you can imagine and understand my frustration, I am really disappointed with myself for going with this company. But at the time it was during the pandemic and the website matched what I was looking for. Although, I was skeptical about making this expensive purchase without seeing it in person, I was excited to find a modern sofa for our newly built home. I requested the samples and felt that the fabric would hold up well. Little did I know... Normally, I read the reviews before making certain purchases online. However, I didn’t see that many negative responses. I remember one reviewer who was disappointed with her purchase but had younger kids and pets, which I don’t. If you’re interested in purchasing a nice quality sofa, please trust me when I say that you will be highly dissatisfied with this company’s sofas.

The Jones Modular Sofa
3/5  |  Mixed emotions - both love and disappointment
We got our Jones in Jan 2021. We love how modular this Jones is. We've configured it in many different ways in our living space and it's relatively easy to move. It's comfortable and we're always sitting on it. My biggest disappointment is the fabric - Performance Tweed Salt. Believe me - I got and tested every fabric sample for MONTHS! Buying a Maiden Home was an investment for me and I wanted to make sure I got it right. So after A LOT of deliberation we chose the performance tweed salt...but over one year later, I can say that it's definitely NOT performance. It's difficult to clean and does not stand up over time. We have to get this fabric professionally 2-3 months in order for it to not look dingy and gray. I understand the maintenance for white couches, but that's why I got the performance fabric...Idk maybe my expectations were to high but if you're gonna get a white couch you have to make sure that it is easy to clean and this fabric is just not it. I'm pretty sure in a year our couch will be grey. The one thing it does have going for it is that it's cat nail resistant (we foster cats occasionally). Anyways just don't get it. It's not worth it.

The Delancey Bar And Counter Stool
5/5  |  Highly Recommend!
I recently purchased four of these stools to use at my kitchen island. My family and I live in an apartment with an open floor plan so it was very important to find something that was functional and aesthetically pleasing. This stool is absolutely both! We ordered them in the pebbled leather which is both beautiful and pretty easy to clean in a kitchen setting.

The Ludlow Sofa
5/5  |  I am so happy with Maiden Home.
I am so happy with Maiden Home. Not only are the products top-notch, but the support and design advice is incredible. I feel like a valued customer. The founder even sent me a hand-written note. I have raved to family and friends about this company and intend to continue furnishing my home with the beautiful, quality furniture.

The Sullivan Sofa
4/5  |  Comfortable, but has issues
I ordered the Sullivan sofa with chaise in the pewter chevron fabric. Let me start with the good: this couch is incredibly comfortable. It is deep, so it may not work for shorter people, unless you plan on lounging (irresistible, I think), but everyone in my family loves it. I have barely sat on the chaise, because there is ALWAYS someone else sitting there. The armrests are perfectly sloped for sitting sideways. The back cushions are plump and retain their shape well. Overall the craftsmanship is nice and the fabric appears to be high quality. The delivery was fast, friendly and safe. Now the bad: The seat cushions lose their shape immediately when someone sits on them. I don’t mind fluffing them every day if I must, but it is already multiple times a day. There is so much sag that the fabric ripples to the point of wrinkling and the edges need adjusted daily. I rotate the bench seat daily ( though it is not completely reversible due to the fasteners). The chaise cushion can’t be turned over and is starting to develop a permanent kink. It also moves around a fair amount on the footrest, because it is not secured anywhere. Also, the way the chaise is connected to the couch has a fairly large gap and moves around quite a bit. A minor flaw is they the stripes in the herringbone pattern doesn’t line up. Doesn’t bother me much, but feels like an oversight. Overall, not the elegant showstopper I had hoped for, but a very comfortable albeit very casual looking sofa.

The Warren Sofa
5/5  |  Excellent Experience
The entire process from start to finish was seamless! Dana on the support team was fantastic to work with and checked in every step of the way. We purchased the Warren sectional in silver and received it about a month ago. The quality is unmatched and the material holds up well to a dog and toddler. We couldn't be happier with our purchase!

The Carmine Sofa
5/5  |  Carmine, My Love
We love our Carmine! First, we ordered the 100" and wish it could be longer. We really like the firmness and most of all, my husband and I can both lay down at the same time due to the length and depth. We love binge-watching our shows with Carmine.

The Sullivan Sofa
1/5  |  Very Disappointed
Our order took nearly three months, so the estimated 5-6 weeks is not accurate. When it finally arrived, the wrong chaise was sent (ordered a left, they sent a right) and the arm of the loveseat was damaged. So we have had half a couch since April. We finally received the replacement chaise yesterday. Unfortunately, the cushion is several inches higher than the rest of the sofa and the fabric is noticeably lighter. I am still waiting for them to fix the arm of the loveseat. Frankly, I wish I had just purchased from Pottery Barn. I would have saved thousands of dollars and my sofa wouldn't look like a mismatched mess.

The Sullivan Sofa
5/5  |  Super comfortable sectional
Purchased a sectional, which is large and spacious and impossible to not feel comfortable on. It’s white, so I’m hoping it holds up against stains. So far, so good.

The Dune Sofa
5/5  |  Divine Beauty and Comfort
I have worked for a number of high-end furniture retailers over the last 33 years and when I started in the industry the majority of the pieces came handmade from High Point. Since then most pieces available through retailers are mass produced or come from China and the quality has been greatly sacrificed. I’m also a merchandiser and because of that occupational hazard I find myself flipping furniture in my own home rather frequently.... well that and because I have 3 pups. My point is I’ve been through well over a dozen sofas in my lifetime and the Dune is a supremely welcomed addition to my home that I know will be staying put. Finding Maiden Home was like returning to my roots. I am so beyond thrilled at how well crafted the sofa is and the fact that I will likely pass it on to my kid as a result. And the slip covers are the greatest thing ever! Like I said I’ve owned a number of sofas both slipcovered and upholstered, and I’ve been through probably just as many generically fitted slipcovers in an effort to keep things clean and interesting. Not a single slipcover in my lifetime has been as easy to remove and replace as the one for the Dune! It’s a dream and it launders beautifully!! Maiden Home, thank you for crossing my path and for making beautiful heirloom quality furniture of which I will surely be investing in additional pieces!

The Carmine Sofa
2/5  |  Quality Sofa With One Complaint
I purchased my Maiden Home velvet sofa over a year ago and wanted to post a review for those who are considering the Carmine. The sofa still looks and feels brand new, but I wouldn't recommend this particular sofa due to the lack of attention to detail. The piping that runs down the center of my sofa is crooked and off-center and doesn't meet in the middle of the two cushions, as pictured online. Soon after receiving the sofa, I contacted Maiden Home's customer service with this complaint, and I was told to use my hands to try to shift the fabric to the right. This seemed to do the trick at first, but the fabric always shifted back to the original position after a short time. I spent many hours trying to shift the fabric into the correct position, but I finally gave up. It bothers me enough that I keep the back of the sofa covered at all times. I searched for years for the perfect velvet sofa for my living room and was left disappointed. I would not recommend the Carmine for this reason.

The Sullivan Sofa
3/5  |  After 4+ yrs wouldn't buy again
The sofa is not bad and has held up over time (I chose a chevron fabric). However, I am pretty sure when I bought it they touted it as 35" tall overall and 32" tall with the back frame. Now they have lowered both those measurements. Truthfully, the bench and back cushions deflate immediately upon sitting so the back cushions ALWAYS sit below the frame make the sofa very short and not ideal for tall or even average height people. Cannot lean your head back without a pillow. A good piece for a sitting room perhaps, but not ideal for watching TV unless the sofa is against a wall and you have extra pillows behind it. Also the arms are very narrow and have very little cushioning so are not good to lean against without pillows. I have banged my arm on the arms a few times and it really hurts due to the lack of cushioning. Other than that, the sofa has held up pretty well and still looks decent. It is not an uncomfortable sofa per se, just not to the level of what we had hoped for the price. I would hesitate before buying another sofa online, despite all the research I did.

The Dune Swivel Chair
5/5
Beautiful solid construction on the Dune chair. It is nice to have a new chair that's not too modern and still fits in my historic home. I would recommend though that the wood at the front be taken up since the slip gives the appearance of empty space, and if you aren't paying attention your toes can be in jeopardy as I have learned the hard way. Overall still would recommend.

The Dune Sofa
5/5  |  I am 100 percent in love
I am 100 percent in love with my new Maiden Home Dune couch and Mercer chair!!! I was worried because I hadn’t been able to sit in them when I saw them online and they are pricey.. but I went to Hudson Yards while they were being showcased there and was able to look at them in person and sit on them. Feel the fabric. I sprung for it and even went with WHITE (I have 2 kids and 2 cats). The kids have already gotten chocolate and Taki cheese on the Dune - easily spot cleaned!! Didn’t even have to wash it. But I LOVE that I can wash it if I need to. Oh, and did I mention that they are so dang comfortable?! I just want to hang out on them all day. I sleep better on that couch than on my own mattress. Worth every penny!
