I want to start this by saying if you are a mom of a toddler and/or pets, then this review is for you!
We had the cloud sofa from RH for years that I just hated. The dogs destroyed it, it was always filthy, guests never wanted to sit in it because of the sinking. The cushion were always out of place and the cushion straps broke. Couldn’t sit in it pregnant because I literally could not get out of it.
So I when I finally wore my husband down on a replacement, I scoured the internet for a sofa our dogs could not destroy. Additionally, our baby is approaching toddler-hood, so I was repeatedly pointed to getting a cheap sofa (Ikea or secondhand) or just not bothering at all.
I rejected this narrative. One, my husband is a carpenter so I believe in the skill of the craft. Secondly, my mother in law has a 30 year old sofa that (ugly as it is) it’s still as comfy and sturdy as the day she bought it. I don’t have reupholstery skills, but I did think the reason sofas didn’t last was less kids and dogs and more a decline in craftsmanship.
So I scoured. And then found maiden home. Everything about the company and mission I loved. I read every review (literally every single one). Having come from the cloud, I knew we needed a firmer sofa. I knew I didn’t want to be fluffing cushions all the time. The Carmine was unlike anything I’d scene and seemed like the perfect solution. I was worried about the firmness, so I messaged the design team who agreed it was a firmer sofa, but still very comfortable. So I ordered all the swatches and tried to destroy them. I’m talking red wine, coffee, black sharpie, I even wiped my daughter snot and drool on the swatch. Then I swiped the dog paws over and over and over. Through my testing, I was so happy to find the performance velvet did the best of all the swatches I tried. I used dawn dish soap and a paper towel to scrub out the sharpie stain and, not only did it come out, the velvet returned to it smooth state.
Now the sofa is here (2months now) and I have to say it has met every expectation. The performance velvet cleans up great. Dog fur is easy to vaccum off. Additional, I find that dirt/fur/etc sort of sit on top that fabric and are not absorbed in it. I never in a million years thought a velvet sofa would be suitable for family life, but this fabric is a secret weapon every parent needs. I’ve spilled coffee twice on it now and you would never know.
Additional, the sofa itself is irrefutably solid. Having a solid back instead of cushions is perfect for us and our bouncing toddler and obnoxious dogs. The cushion straps are study and the not the flimsy crap that kept breaking/stretching with the cloud. Despite being firm, it is still incredible comfortable. It is a not a sink-in sofa, but it is still sufficiently nappable. I lounge on it, chart on it, and play with the toddler. It is a dream. (Full disclosure: my husband doesn’t like it, but his idea of a comfy sofa is literally a giant bed (or cloud *ahem* see above) but we knew this would be the case when ordering, but he agreed to it). But literally everyone who comes to visit pours it with compliments (including my Mawmaw who is a yard sale furniture shopper was asking where I got it)
The only snag we reached was with the delivery. We had a lot of issues with the delivery company not showing up when they said they would. I don’t hold this against maiden home, maybe because my husband is a carpenter and has had the hardest time finding reliable shipping for his own stuff. I was able to contact them with each hiccup and they were very helpful and the last missed delivery date I actually received a call from their supervisor who was lovely and apologetic and refunded the shipping cost.
All in all, this sofa is a beautiful powerhouse, reasonably priced when considering the quality and a company I’m happy to have purchased from. If you have kids or asshole dogs and are scared to take the plunge, it’s not a pipe dream. I kid proof sofa exists.

We searched for new couches for months and months and were not satisfied with the quality at the name brand stores. After hearing about maiden home from my sister, we ordered swatches and obsessed over the Sullivan. Finally decided on the Sullivan L shaped sectional in Cloud Performance Chevron. Have to say, LOVE it so much!! Great quality, very comfortable and looks amazing in my space.

I was nervous to buy a couch online, but loved the look of the Dune. So I took the risk and MAN this is a comfortable couch that has shocked us at how easy stains come off. I ended up trying the couch with both the many pillows (scattered back I think) and just a few pillows (classic back?), and I will say the version with a lot of little pillows is much more comfortable. I am very glad I got this couch!

5/5 | It IS comfortable!
We were worried about ordering this sofa without test driving it in a show room. Turns out, this sofa is incredibly comfortable. We have already spent a couple sick days sitting and laying on it all day and it has exceeded all of our expectations. The quality and design are top notch! We highly, highly recommend Maiden Home!

3/5 | Overall nice, very high price for the quality
Overall, I like the chair. However there are some things that stand out:
- The shearling is inconsistent - tighter curls in some sections, much looser in others - this gives it the appearance of some wear and tear even though it's brand new.
- The seat is a bit shallow, would have been more luxurious if deeper
These things would feel more acceptable if the chair was half the price. For $2200, I don't know it was worth it.

My new sectional is everything I wanted! The fabric is gorgeous. The cushions are firm enough to sit upright with company and soft enough to lounge for movie watching.
The performance fabric has already proven its abilities; the delivery man left a dirty palm print and it came right off with a damp microfiber cloth before they even finished placing it.
The construction is so solid and because it’s custom, it fits beautifully in my room.
This purchase was at the very top end of my budget and I am thrilled we went for it.

My husband and I purchased our first home and were looking for the perfect light gray, super comfy, large, great for napping couch. Most luxury couches are filled with feathers which I am allergic to. The Warren was exactly what we were looking for AND it’s hypoallergenic so I was thrilled. The couch is beautiful, soft, and so comfortable. We ordered a 123x123 Warren in Merino Heather Gray. We ended up adding an ottoman and have it set up like an L shaped couch with a chaise. It’s perfect. While it took almost 3 months from order to delivery which was longer than initially promised Pre-COVID, the delivery process was SO easy and smooth. They set up the couch really quick and had us inspect it before they left. Overall, the communication was great and I would highly recommend Maiden Home.

Ordered the Ludlow August 1st, I was informed of delay. Now they informed me the couch has shipped but won't arrive till mid November and as late as December 26th. They explained lack of truck drivers due to covid. How long are we gonna blame covid for everything. Company I work for ships big pieces of equipment every week, no problems getting them out to their destination certainly not a month and a half. Extremely disappointed, really thought I would have this done by Christmas. I won't ordered online again. I was going to order chairs but it go's without saying that won't happen now.

We were a little hesitant to order a sofa that we could not feel before purchase, but I am so glad we took the risk. We ordered a big, L-shaped, slip-covered, performance fabric Dune sofa, and it is not only gorgeous, but so comfortable! I want to live on it, forever, and never move. My only complaint is that it separates at the L -- the 2 pieces can't be attached becuase of the slipcover. We are going to put a jute rug underneath it and I think that should help hold it in place. It is so beautiful. Maiden Home reps were so helpful, and it was delivered on time (which was a relief, given the horror stories I've heard about supply chains). I'd have no hesitating ordering from Maiden Home again.

I could not be more pleased with our Sullivan sofa. The piece itself is beautiful -- by far one of the most comfortable couches I have ever experienced, great fabric, high quality execution. I ordered a number of swatches in advance to test resilience to wine and kids -- the parchment performance chevron has been easy to clean (swatch held up against red wine!) and looks great in person. The ordering process was a breeze -- tons of timely updates, great customer service, fast delivery. I was a bit nervous about ordering online -- especially since many reviews at that time were from designers versus customers who had lived with the furniture in "real life" -- but as a happy customer (with little kids), I can't wait to order more pieces soon!
We were SO excited about this couch. We had never spent so much money on a furniture item before, and we felt that this was a huge investment for our family. Unfortunately, we wouldn’t do it again if given the chance.
Let’s start with the good:
It’s so hard to find a non-toxic sofa. Chemicals abound in most brands these days, and we just wanted our living room to be non carcinogenic. Maiden Home seemed like a great choice in that regard.
Also, the couch is extremely comfortable. You just sort of melt into it. The color (bourbon) is just beautiful.
The bad:
The Tuscan velvet scratches so easily I was absolutely shocked. If you have kids, pets, a belt on, or if you simply forgot to trim your nails today you will permanently scratch this fabric. It’s insane. The wooden buttons on my pants scratched this couch. Within one week of having it in the living room it had been absolutely decimated by scratch marks.
My five year old drove a toy car over it and it left streaks. I’ve never seen anything like this before. Keep in mind, this was a $13,000 custom made couch. I was flabbergasted. Apparently this is more of a decorative couch- not something made to actually live your life on. Buyers beware.

It's always a bummer to replace furniture so I decided to replace a 22 year old sofa - quality that it was - in order to update the living room. I recovered the other pieces and the room is light, airy and beautiful. The centerpiece is the Ludlow sofa. It's elegant - timeless - substantial yet airy. With free swatches and a great return policy I ordered with confidence but still felt a bit foolish for ordering a couch from a manufacturer I had never heard of - sight unseen. The delivery was flawless and the piece perfectly made. The upolstery lays flat and the cushions comfortable. Nap worthy for sure. Well done, Maiden Home - I hope you are around for a long time.

4/5 | An amazing addition to my home
My Irving sofa is absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship, attention to detail,
and comfort level is SUPER-high -- I still won't let the dog on it (because IT'S
GORGEOUS!) but I love it, and it exceeds my expectations in every way. It DID
take a long time to build, and I docked one star off of this review only because
there was an issue with the local delivery company (not sure if the fault was
Maiden Home's or the Local carrier, but delivery was late and a bit of an
inconvenience) but Maiden Home was communicative throughout the situation. It's
a gorgeous piece, and while certainly an investment, not one I regret AT ALL.

Purchased the 85" Ludlow in Performance Linen Creme with pecan wood finishes, one cushion "bench" seat, and it is superb! High quality and very comfortable lofty, cozy seating. Process from fabric swatch ordering, online Q&A with design rep, placing the online order to delivery, was smooth and efficient. Highly recommend purchasing from Maiden Home!

I was back and forth on ordering these chairs because I wasn’t sure if the back height would be comfortable or not. after having for a week, I cannot say enough about these chairs and how comfortable and perfect they are for every home. They are well made, extremely heavy and beyond comfortable. For reference I’m 5’6 and my husband is 6’5 and we both love them. I do also want to point out this company’s customer service team. They are top notch with everything from the moment you order to after you receive and are absolutely lovely to work with. If you’re in need of new counter stools that will last a lifetime, look no further!

I like the style and comfort level of this couch, but I am definitely disappointed by the fabric. I’ve had this couch for 5 months and the fabric has already started to pill on the bench cushion. For reference, the only people who use the couch are my husband and I - no pets, no kids, and we haven’t had a lot of visitors due to COVID. We sit on it daily, and have the occasional nap, but do not use it so heavily to warrant the amount of pilling we see and feel. Definitely disappointed since we specifically chose the performance fabric for the specific reason of longevity.... but this will definitely need to be replaced sooner than we would have expected. The pills against the smooth texture of the performance fabric is very noticeable and not a pleasant feeling.
I would also recommend to people to not choose the performance fabric if you’re wanting something cozy/soft. It feels more like fabric for a couch in a doctors office than in a living room.
