I’ve had my eye on the Ludlow in Performance Linen Oyster for a long time and when we decided to refurnish our living room, I had to give it a try. I love that Maiden Home sends you free (BIG) swatches which made choosing a fabric much much easier. I also couldn’t have done without the comfort guide because I’m usually easily swayed by style BUT for this couch I needed it to be comfortable. I was initially hesitant with the tufted back (I even inquired about changing my order after I placed it), not because of its look, but because I thought not having back pillows would make the couch less comfy, but boy was I wrong. The back of the tufted couch is so soft and plush, way beyond my expectations. The couch is so beautifully designed and stylish and the custom size options are wonderful. The quality for the price really cannot be beaten. Dana was amazing throughout the whole process with personal attention and quick response times. Setting up delivery was a breeze. I’m already eying up a chair to compliment my new sofa and everyone that sees the Ludlow asks where I bought it. You really will not regret this purchase!

the swatches were quickly shipped making the decision process quick and easy. I chose champagne and it turned out BEAUTIFUL. The fabric is so thick and strong. I have a toddler and a big dog, though i don’t allow my dog on the couch. It is sturdy and well made. The hooks that keep the cushions in place are sooo helpful. Overall, beautiful piece added to our new home. Thank you!

After searching for 6 months for the perfect sofa, and trying REALLY hard to avoid buying online, I finally gave in and took the risk to buy something that I had never sat on or seen I person. I am so glad I did! I've only had it a few weeks, but it is so comfortable and looks great. I have recommended Maiden Home to everyone who comes in my door, and I'm already planning my next purchase. My only complaint is that I wish they had even more of a variety and offered other furniture pieces like ottomans, dressers, dining tables, etc.

I love my new couch which is the center of attention in my piano/music room! It is elegant, well made and the entire process of buying this piece of furniture was seamless! The price point was very reasonable especially for the quality. I also love that this was made in America! I will be coming back to maidenhome for more pieces in the future without question!

I’ve had the ludlow sectional in lagoon for about two months now, and it is simply perfect. I was looking for a comfortable sectional for our living room that would also look beautiful enough to stand up to the beautiful Victorian history & character we’re lucky to have in our living room. The back is pitched back to make this super loungeable. My husband (6’2”) can comfortably lay on the chaise without his feet dangling off, and I (5’3”) love to sit cross legged in the deep seats. The cushions stay in place, and the back is a nice mix between firm (so it always looks very neat) but just cushy enough to be very comfortable. The velvet is soft, and thus far our two cats haven’t been too interested in clawing it.

Just got our Ludlow Sofa a couple of weeks ago and am very happy with it.The fabric I ordered is the Performance Textured Linen in the color “Mineral”. The sofa is beautiful. We live in a 1910 Craftsman so I feel like the tufted back is a nod to the age of the house. It seems very well made. Love the fabric as it's a perfect mix of “nice” but casual. It is fairly firm but still very comfortable. It was scary ordering a sofa without sitting on it but I'm so glad I took the leap.

The entire process of selecting swatches to delivery was seamless. Ordered the couch at end of July and delivered by mid November. We chose the cider color in performance velvet and it is GORGEOUS! Firm construction, attention to detail and VERY comfortable. My only issue is with the cushions. While they too are very comfortable, there IS maintenance required to maintain their shape. They are not a firm foam core and you do sink in a bit when you sit so be aware of that. The fabric on the cushions bunch a little when you sit so expect to periodically smooth out manually with your hands if you want them to look crisp. I do LOVE that the cushions are reversible and we do flip them once a month. The alligator clips that hold the cushions in place are wonderful!

We were SO thrilled with our TWO Ludlow sofas! Dana can vouch for how many samples we ordered, and how nervous we were to commit! I was nervous until the second I saw them! But wow! what a huge surprise!!! The quality and comfort, the fabric is PERFECT, and we are soooo happy with them. I have to add it was really customer reviews that sold me on moving forward. So I hope you will also trust me when I say how beautiful our sofas turned out. This was a giant leap of faith for me. And, I found Maiden Home on instagram, which is all the more a leap of faith.Thank you!

I was introduced to Maiden Home from a good friend and happy to say that I am love with my Ludlow Sofa. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish. The ability to sample the ALL sofas after making an appointment in the NYC showroom made the sofa search enjoyable and seamless, especially after being greeted by Nidhi. She was enthusiastic and knowledgable about the market and the materials that encompassed the beautiful furniture. That said, I was also provided a sample of fabrics to let me "live" with each before making a final decision. Living in NYC and my sofa suites multiple purposes, I decided to add the Graphite Performance fabric to my Ludlow Sofa for optimal resilience. IN LOVE! - Debbie

You know that feeling you get when you interact with something that's particularly well made? Like a german car or swiss watch? That's the feeling I get when I sit on my Ludlow sofa. It's something we'll treasure for many years to come. It's incredibly sturdy and well constructed, and yet comfortable and stylish. Ours was custom sized to our room in "Cloud." It's gorgeous, and I can't sing its praises enough. I'm eagerly looking forward to Maiden Home expanding their product line... something tells me this isn't the last piece we'll have from them.

I received my Ludlow sectional in slate performance velvet at the end of December and wanted to give it a good trial run before submitting a review. Long story short: it is the perfect sofa. Comfortable, supportive, great for Sunday lounging but not so deep that guests can't comfortably sit upright. And surprisingly pet friendly - one swipe with the lint roller grabs all of my cat's hair - and there is hair, because the Ludlow is also his new favorite place to lounge and nap! This is my second purchase from Maiden Home - I originally bought a Dune for my new home and loved it, but it wasn't quite right for my space and I ended up selling it to a happy buyer. The Dune was the first piece of furniture I bought online, sight unseen (thanks Covid) and the Ludlow the second. It won't be my last purchase from Maiden Home. Superlative quality, excellent customer service and a seamless shopping experience - thanks. Only one thing I would like to ask for, and that is the ability for customers to post photos of their purchases - this would aid tremendously with buying to see how pieces work in actual customer homes. Ordered the Ludlow August 1st, I was informed of delay. Now they informed me the couch has shipped but won't arrive till mid November and as late as December 26th. They explained lack of truck drivers due to covid. How long are we gonna blame covid for everything. Company I work for ships big pieces of equipment every week, no problems getting them out to their destination certainly not a month and a half. Extremely disappointed, really thought I would have this done by Christmas. I won't ordered online again. I was going to order chairs but it go's without saying that won't happen now.

It's very early to tell, but so far I have been pleased with how solid this piece of furniture is: no creaking thus far. I'm interested in seeing how it fares over time. My only concern is that the longer 'chaise' portion is already starting to sag a bit.

We were impressed by the return policy, the reviews and the design of the Ludlow sofa. After looking at swatches and asking Ashley for her advice, we settled on the 85" wide in the Sage Performance Weave (which I don't think they carry anymore, but is really nice). I wanted something in a midtone and "Mist" felt too light. With all of the glowing reviews on how comfortable it was, you can imagine our surprise when our sofa arrived and was really firm...like a drum. We tried it for a week or so and finally wrote Ashley back, they had some questions and we sent some pix and videos and we were super impressed because they decided to remake the sofa - that it didn't meet their standards. We waited again, I didn't know what to expect - but when the new sofa arrived it was amazing. Really comfortable and cozy, it doesn't show cat hair and, so far, it doesn't seem to snag at all when I hear those cat claws landing a bit hard on it. We had a tiny spill that cleaned up like a dream. So, this is a lovely sofa, it's my new favorite place to read (there's been a lot of reading this year!) and relax. Very happy with it and would order again from them.

We had a few small issues with our new ludlow sofa/ottoman. The customer service to remedy the situation has been the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. They want you to be happy with your pieces and will do whatever they can to make it right.

Leather Ludlow sofa, beautiful. The family loves it. The Hayes chair is a unique piece that livens up the look. Delivery was a nightmare. I was told by the delivery company that I would receive a call the night before with a time frame. Never received a call. The delivery showed up at 6:45am. Driver would not attempt to bring in the sofa saying, “It won’t fit”. MH had to send someone to come the next day to bring it in. They had it in place within 5mins. Dana did everything she could to rectify the situation. The problem was the delivery drivers.

The big goal was to find one that was comfortable without looking like a wrinkled mess or needed a second career fluffing pillows. The Ludlow seemed perfect, I loved the structure of the tufted back with the sloping arms and the full cushions. Customer service was very good, Ashley helped me decide on the color/fabric (Sage/Performance Weave) which ended up being perfect. We received the sofa in August - and were shocked that the cushions were extremely firm. After trying it for a week, we contacted Ashley and send some videos and photos. After some research, she replied to us that the sofa didn't meet their standards and they were going to send us a new one. We didn't know what to expect - but when it arrived...it was great and we are thrilled. This is such a comfortable sofa and has become my favorite place to hangout and read. The fabric is great and is very forgiving with our cat. Plus, I had a small spill, which cleaned up very easily. Overall, I look forward to enjoying our Ludlow for ages.

The couch is beautiful and comfortable. The service great, I would try again. But the white oyster linen did not hold up to the dog and cat. Muddy paws and regurgitated food, plus a splash of wine.... destroyed.

The fabric, customer service, delivery was great. The sofa also seems well made structure wise and is comfortable but I wish the seat cushions were firmer and more dense. I am hoping the cushions settle down as the piece breaks in.

At first, my husband and I loved our ludlow with right chaise. It’s a beautiful, well-made piece. However, if you want a couch to lounge out and watch a movie, I don’t recommend it. This is a piece for a formal living room, not a heavily used family room. The only comfortable way to sit on the chaise is sitting perfectly upright, and on the rest of the couch is sitting cross-legged and also vertically upright. The arms are pretty, but they don’t serve as useful headrests. Pillows only help with comfort a little bit. Unfortunately, we came to the realization that this couch was hurting our backs after the 30-day window. While I appreciate what maiden home is doing, it’s still a really expensive piece that you’re buying online with limited flexibility if you care to return it. With that said, the customer service has been great - very professional and responsive - but it doesn’t make up for the fact that we now have a couch that we’ll have to sell for significantly less than we paid for it if we want to lounge comfortably in our living room. So proceed with caution. Sit on it frequently within the first 30 days, and if you don’t love it, return it. We wish we had.

I bought the Ludlow. It arrived as expected. Maiden Home "design advisors" were of no help whatsoever when I ordered. The price changed randomly, which they corrected, and when I asked for help, they couldn't be bothered. I do like my Ludlow but because of the incredible lack of service, I can't recommend Maiden Home. 50/50 at best.

First, the customer service is courteous and timely both before ordering and after receipt. Second, the product. I purchased two Ludlow sofas. The first was an 85" creme performance linen. It looked lovely, however it had pulled stitching. MH took responsibility right away, and after a few weeks of emailing details back and forth, MH replaced the cushion with the pulled stitching. Within that timeframe, a base leg just snapped! Based on first customer service experience, I was sure MH would handle the issue. The initial response was that the base could be replaced, but I had to pay for it. That night we turned the whole sofa over and quickly saw that there was a bigger problem. The base had clearly been weakened by yet another break that someone made a poor attempt at repairing. We took photos and sent them to MH the next day. They promptly took responsibility to replace the base at no cost. Eventually the base was delivered and installed by the white glove delivery team. At this point, I appreciated the fact that they made good and repaired the sofa. Accidents happen and they took ownership. Confidence mostly restored. I decided to order a 60" Ludlow. The product was again disappointing, but I thought MH would make it right again. The problem was that the tufting on the back of the sofa is at least 5" lower than the tufting of our other sofa. This resulted in a sofa that does not look like the product on the website. It looks squatty, sloppy and sits differently. The MH response was that this sofa meets their Quality Team expectations. They explained that the products are handcrafted and there can be variations. I understand handcrafted products can have variations, but this is more than a variation not what I ordered. One more issue that has arisen after barely a month of gentle use is that the 60" sofa is creaking. It is very disappointing. Unfortunately, based on the unreliability of the products, I would not recommend MH.

Very disappointed with our purchase. My wife and I ordered The Ludlow after many days of doing our research. It arrived today and we are so underwhelmed with the looks of it. The cushions are a problem, they can’t stay in one place making the sofa look cheap. I called less than 2 hrs of receiving the sofa and they told us the cushions needed some time to settle... sorry but that’s not what I signed up for. Unfortunately the return policy is an issue for us, so we will no be buying or recommending MH (at least until that policy is in place). MH has no more than 3 photos on their website of each model which means you have to gamble and hold your breath that what you order is going to fit your taste and look good In your space. We were planning on expanding our collection and buying armchairs and potentially other sofas from MH, but unfortunately we started with the wrong foot. Sorry but not for me.
